On behalf of the steering committee it is a great pleasure to invite you all to the 3rd International Conference of The Polish Society of Interdisciplinary Intensive Care Medicine.

The conference will be held in Krakow, historical capital of Poland, and we warmly welcome all doctors involved in intensive and critical care medicine to this exciting event. Krakow is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, a city with a long and vibrant history of academic excellence, medieval and renaissance architecture, theatres and art exhibitions and - last but not least - famous restaurants, bars and clubs. But above all Krakow is the capital of young people - more than 200 thousand of them are studying at numerous universities of which the most famous is The Jagiellonian University founded in 1364.

This meeting will be an exceptional opportunity for learning and creating social networks for intensivists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, intensive care nurses and all other professionals interested in the care of patients in critical care.

We invited the selection of the best European and Polish speakers who will deliver lectures on some of the most important topics including acute respiratory and circulatory failure, mechanical ventilation, temperature management, renal replacement therapies, extracorporeal life support, intra-abdominal hypertension, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, sepsis and infections, antibiotic resistance and many more.

We will provide simultaneous translation of Polish lectures into English.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Krakow - the city of Polish kings and modern intensive care!
