Dear Colleagues

The Healthy Ageing Research Center (HARC) Conference on Translational Research in Healthy Ageing will be held from 16th to 18th of April, 2015 at the Medical University of Łódź, Poland.

Although the diseases affecting adults are affecting the elderly population as well, pathomechanisms and clinical presentations may be quite different. Additional challenges for a physician and a patient are multimorbidities and polypharmacy, associated with the elderly. Our conference will focus on the diseases which are within major research areas of the HARC: psychiatric, neurologic, cardiovascular and respiratory. There is a large gap between major science discoveries and patient benefit in medicine, but this gap seems to particularity deep as far as the diseases of the old age are concern.

The main objective of the Conference is to bring together the researchers and physicians involved in basic and clinical research related to the diseases of the elderly. Since multi-disciplinary approach typical for translational research requires a new level of cooperations between various specialties we aim at providing a forum for such interaction.

Researchers and health professionals, are invited to present original clinical and experimental research papers and share experiences and expertise.

We are looking forward to host you in Lodz next April.
