EUROGENESCAN project: Conference on Proteome based High-Throughput Diagnostics

We are pleased to present preliminary information concerning the two conferences organised
as a part of the EUROGENESCAN project no. 223293, co-ordinated by the Karolinska
Institute under the European Community Seventh Framework Programme.
Conference on Massive Parallel DNA Sequencing, and SNP Technology.

Under the mission of the European Committee for dissemination of information on new
technology, we have organised a conference on massive parallel DNA sequencing and SNP
technology, together with a conference on proteome-based high-throughput diagnostics.
The new technology advances developed have been implemented in the EURO-GENESCAN
work, which will optimise the development of high-throughput technologies. A further
important objective of the EUROGENESCAN project is to transfer technologies to disease
areas other than primary immunodeficiency diseases.
Organisations and laboratories carrying out mutation detection in the fields of muscle
disorders, growth deficiencies, deficiencies in hearing or vision, and metabolic defects will be
invited to participate.
We are generating the scientific programme, and invite speakers carrying out front-line
research in high-throughput technologies for the development of sensitive, reliable, and
especially cost-effective diagnostics.
